Hi, We have a small farm in Michigan and lots of chicken eating predators roaming around. Our experience with English Shepherds started when a GORGEOUS clear sable female we named "Sadie" wandered into the yard while I was pulling weeds. I looked up, and there she was, in all of her golden glory. We never found her owner so she stayed with us for the rest of her life. She was the English Shepherd that sold me on the breed. Sadie loved kitties and HER chickens but was death on moles, hated racoons and possums and went into destroyer mode crazy whenever one was located. She also couldn't stand large birds flying around and kept the Canadian geese and buzzards away from the whole farm! When she died last summer I HAD to find another. No,(kinda like potato chips!) I found TWO, both girls. I had the young pups meet their chickies and just hope they turn out as wonderful as our Sadie was. We have the two
young English Shepherds, a 10 month old Australian Shepherd and a 10 year old German Shepherd(Lots of Shepherds!!)The Aussie is also a very smart dog,good with chickens and kitties as are the other dogs. English Shepherds have really taken over the ads on TV....very, very popular!! Kathy Tomlinson
