[CHICKENS-101] Re: Dog Food and Frozen Honeybees

 

I agree on using cat food sparingly for increased protein. Dry cat food is higher in protein than dog food and comes in smaller kibble sizes for chickens to eat.

Also, extra protein should only be added during the molt when feathers are being produced. Too much protein in chicken chow during other times of the year (especially if they're free ranging) can result in problems.
