I honestly don't know. That is my husband's area of expertise. <hee hee>

We have seen smoke coming off it at times…..the horse and chicken poo, that is. Not so much the alpaca and goat.

He usually adds a front loader or two to the garden in the fall and spring, then tills it under. Our garden soil is very nice.

Our manure spreader broke, but when it was working, we would spread the alpaca manure on fields that weren't being used. High nitrogen and much cheaper than going out and buying it. If only they could poop lime!
