[CHICKENS-101] would a rooster help?

 

We don't have a rooster for our 10 hens. But we do have deer and magpies(birds) - that like to share the yard/compost bin -- IF we had a rooster, would/could he chase the deer and magpies away?? In warmer weather we also have an issue with chipmonks -- would a rooster help keep them away??
