[CHICKENS-101] Smart alec Silkie

 

We only have 1 silkie currently, a little self blue hen, but what a personality. Poor thing lives with a chantecler roo because he's nice to her and the oegb hens aren't. Anyway since she's the only hen it's obvious when she's laid an egg in her pen. Yesterday dd gathered eggs and said no silkie egg, so I figured she had taken the day off. When I lock up at night I count heads and check for eggs, still no egg. This morning when I let them out, 2 eggs! I'm pretty sure that little stinker hid her egg yesterday. Going to have to keep an eye on that. No broodiness at least until my chick order comes in. Then if she wants to play mommy/babysitter to them, she can.
