Cooing is usually happiness. My older buff orp hens were recently heard making a noise like cats growling fighting over treats. Just about made me jump when I first heard it. Then I busted up laughing. Crazy old biddies, trying to scare everyone off.
The cooing is sweet. So is the sing song like chirping. I love the happy sounds!
