RE: [CHICKENS-101] Opinions?? Wing Clipping-mean or protective?? and we've got an egg eater

I have the same problems……….an egg eater among us, but who know who?  Too many chickens!

Leghorns don’t have that much meat on them, but I think I’d invite her for dinner, too!

we have at least one chicken that's eating eggs but with 36 it's hard to
tell which one it is. The other day, I found one of the white Leghorns
standing in a nest box eyeing a broken egg in the adjacent box. She had
dribbles of egg yolk on her breast feathers and beak. I picked her up
to put her in one of the tractors to keep her away from the other
chickens. She was less than thrilled about being picked up. DS, Chris
started petting her on the head and said "It's okay, it's really ok.
You're going to be dinner". I laughed so hard I almost dropped the
chicken. :-)
