Hello Jane:

Yep! that's correct - there is little point in giving liquid mammal milk to birds and in fact it may cause diarrhea especially in chicks.

With respect to digestion the liquid milk pretty much passes through.

On the other hand, TREATED Milk: dehydrated, cottage cheese solids (water reduced), yogurt, hard cheese, is an whole other "animal" and can be very useful in feed rations if one has an excess or prefers not to use these products as human food.
