[CHICKENS-101] The GMO Challenge

I am told that most animals, if given a choice, will not eat GMO varieties. For those of you who can, I challenge you to offer your chickens both GMO and organic corn, side by side, for a week and see if they know the difference.

I have looked far and wide and I cannot find non-GMO corn in my area. My chickens will not eat corn at all, ever, for any reason. But then, we have never offered them organic corn... We bought some scratch when we went on vacation. We don't usually feed corn but just oats, barley, and milo plus free range on 32 acres as well as keeping them in a mobile coop over night. The poor chickens picked out the milo from the scratch and left the corn. The guy feeding them didn't notice and just stopped feeding them. They went hungry for most of the week while refusing to eat corn. We still put the scratch in their feeder at night with their other feeds. They kick it out on the ground and the ants carry it away.

We have been back from vacation for 6 weeks. I'm hoping that in the next 2 weeks, we will be out of that scratch. I'm sure the ants will be hungry.
