Ruth, Fish and Wildlife is crazy! People will be next. and to wait until someone is mauled for life or killed is irresponsible. I'd protect myself and my animals with a gun. There has to be something out there that is on the quiet side and painful. Sorry you have to deal with such a horrible situation. Here in MI they'd be removed. Cathryn
Cathryn, Been black bears spotted 2 streets, and 4 streets from us. About a week or so ago, a panther killed some guys goats and some chickens, 1 street from us. My son actually saw the panther on our street 10 PM'ish the nite it was on the news, about the guys goats getting killed, 3 nites in a row, behind us. Fish & wildlife won't do anything unless they attack a human. So far, it's been mainly goats and chickens. They pretty much say during dark hours, to keep your animals (domestic & livestock) inside, or locked up. A few of us have been here 20-38 years, and haven't had the panthers or bears to deal with, till now. Both are protected so ... everyone just has to protect their animals as best you can. Ruth
