Oh, after living on the river in Oregon I became not a fan of raccoons.  They can make such a mess.  Do you think it was rabid?

My live traps were filled with huge raccoons this morning.  I knew they would be the traps, Big Red fussed at me when she went to bed, (My RIR hen who likes to be petted.)  The one was foaming at the mouth and snarling, with spittle and mucus stretching across it's open mouth, absolutely disgusting!  My husband is going to have to dig a pit with the back hoe in the morning.  We'll wear gloves and use bleach on the ground and the trap.  Cath
