We added more chicks to our flock. We've now got the 12 Black Stars and 6 white Leghorns and 5 Ameracaunas. We had 6 Ameracaunas but one didn't make it.
They're fun to watch but we'll have to builder a larger coop than we planned. We have a transition coop for them when they get old enough to put outside. Does the recommended square footage include the run or just the coop. I've read 4.5 sf up to 10 sf per bird. I'm thinking the 10sf would include the run???
