[CHICKENS-101] ISA Brown Questions and Cold Winters

I'm going to order a few chicks this spring from Townline Hatchery (through my local feed co-op). I was thinking about ordering ISA Browns. I know someone out there has to have some experience with this breed. My questions are:

Anyone have any experience with Townline Hatchery Chicks?

Does anyone have any ISA Browns, and how do they cope with cold temps (I live in mid michigan)? Looks like their combs are a little bigger then the combs on the chickens I have now. Anyone have problems with the combs getting frostbit?

Will they lay without additional light in the winter?

How do they lay in their third, four year of life? How much does egg production go down?

Are they friendly? Somewhat intelligent? More or less aggressive then other breeds? Can you eat them, or are they more a stewing chicken?

Any other comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks as always to everyone who gives me their two cents! Can't wait until it warms up a little here. Cold snap this week has me wishing for spring...even though I know that means MUD!
