Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: free range

We let our chickens out and they love it. They find worms and grass and stuff to eat. I love to watch them from the kitchen window. They run here and there and have a great time. Some prefer the barn when its windy or raining hard. I  would prefer they stay out otherwise. They are 14 weeks old. As soon as we get time and a bit more supplies we are building them an Egg Mobile to take out to the pasture. When we do that, we'll lock them in it for a couple days. I hope only 2 days because they really do like to be out and that Egg Mobile will be made just for sleeping and egg laying with roosts and nests. Water inside and outside and some food provided outside.

We have 80 straight run duel purpose breeds of chickens and its time to start butchering the extra roosters.

Thanks to all the replies. I will give it a try this weekend. My chickens have been here over a month.
