[CHICKENS-101] What do you guys know about probiotics for poultry?

I sure could use some guidance as to whether this kind of stuff works. I got a newsletter the other day from one of the popular backyard poultry websites about an organic poultry probiotic called Big Ole Bird.
https://www.southlandorganics.com/big-ole-bird. When you read their documentation their claim to fame seems to be the addition of humic acid to their formula. When you google that stuff there seems to have been some very positive academic studies that have been done on humic acid and its effect on the immune system and digestion of poultry. This company, Southland Organics, also sells stuff you put on your litter that they claim competitively excludes harmful bacteria https://www.southlandorganics.com/litter-life. Does anyone have any experience with these or similar products? In my mind these two products seem like they could be a good organic answer for disease control.
