Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: dogs, farming and neighbors ( My Take and 2 cents )

OK I just knew the silence / peace was too good .......  Gina is on target with Deb .... heck even her reply was nice considering what was said.  Deb I only know from her posts and her Roo :-)   Carolyn I know from another list as well and can say I was surprised at her response :-(
I will reply to this as follows ..... this time of year Christmas has something to do with "EVERYTHING"  (just ask my grandson age 7) or WalMart.  California keeps AZ from falling into the ocean ....makes sure we have produce year around ( sprayed or organic ) ......  provides stimulation for imaginations and expression of the like ( movie studios ) .....  ya and there is the weather ........ now imagine there is no California .... we have enough issues with the current border with Mexico and the resident drug lords ...... now extent that the length of the state to Oregon :-(
Yes many leave but new dreamers move in ......
Lastly ...... I was born In San Francisco ...... been back many times and will take the grand kids there ( can't grow up without seeing Micky's home , eat chicken at Knotts Berry Farm, get splashed by a Killer Whale at Sea World and feel the earth move beneath your feet )
I have also lived in KY/TN .....  actually as an military dependent .... Ft Campbell ( base crosses the state line ).  Yes it is very nice .... green with rolling hills and easy on the eyes.  I would have no problem calling it home.
There are downsides to every place but as long as the ups override the downs ..... well it is home.
SO be nice and if you can't be nice.... be quiet.

Good grief Carolyn,
What is the problem with you? I know Deb and know that she works very hard to keep the area she lives in rural. I know her values and desires and you are very wrong about her.
Myself, I live in the country and still do my best to not let my dogs annoy my neighbors by barking too early in the morning, continuing on and off all day or generally being a nuisance. I have a boarding kennel too and don't allow the dogs to bark incessantly when they are outside. That is just common courtesy. I also have about 50 chickens and have sold all my standard size roosters out of courtesy to the neighbors. I still have my modern game roosters and my serama roosters but they are much less noisy.
Let's just all get along here.
Gina :-)

Such a wrong thinking person. What does Christmas have to do with anything? What? You didn't have enough money to spend on black friday? And yes, CA. is wonderful. That's why people are leaving by the 1,000s. Over taxed, over priced, not to mention the health problems from all the spraying and dusting. And the fact that the minority does not speak english and has no interest in learning. So I will take a little snow and cold in KY. Carolyn
