Hee, hee! Carolyn, you are such a jolly bowel of figgy pudding, aren't you! Just right for the season! I do live a 'farmers' life...per se....we do have chickens and roosters crowing at all hours (thank GOD my neighbors don't complain!) we grow some of our own veggies...we USED to raise Nubian goats....my neighbor has MULES who 'go off' at any given time....true, we're not on 100 acres, but in California, 'farmers' and 'city folk' often have to co-habitate with each other peacefully. Most farmers wouldn't like to live next to someone who built motorcyles and revved their engines. So people have to try to get along as best as possible. I can see you are truly in the hoilday spirit with yet another cheap shot at me about "giving lip service'....well yes, I do give "lip service". And alot of it. I am among many 'farmers' in my area who has the courage to stand up and speak out at our City Council meetings against a giant super center Wal-Mart that will be moving in to our community and bulldozing many tiny family farms, bringing the city even closer to what's left of this rural area. You don't know me Carolyn, and I realize it might be easy for you to forget that there are real living people on the other side of your key board.....why you want to take issue with me is a puzzle to me, but I am sure you're just caught up in all the merriment of Christmas and get a little excited. I hope you are warm and cozy there in Kentucky...as you know, Cali is sunny and beautiful. I think I'll go ride my horse.
Merry Christmas!

Giving lip service to "farmers" or the farming life is far different than living it. And yes, I did read your post all the way through. Carolyn
