My chickens are sparkling clean, but I think that's because they roll around in the dirt and run under the shed to dust it for me. When they come out it's like someone beat a rug. I should let them run around all my furniture to dust. Even in the bedroom, like Crypt's chickens do.

Did you place the rocks/gravel there or is it a naturally occuring substance in your area? How does this work out for the chickens feet? They look so nice and clean. It's not too rough on their feet? My feather legs always have dirty feet and leg feathers from being on frequently wet dirt. If they had gravel on their ground would their legs and feathers be cleaner?
