It could certainly be colorful!
I've seen directions for using old political signs (the corrugated plastic type) as roof and siding shingles for coops and such. The feed bags probably wouldn't last quite as well, and as noted would need the wire to go on top as well, but what a great idea for a temporary shelter, or temporary repairs.
