Dawn, you could get other chicks, raise them alongside your hen. When it
is time to for the little ones to be put out, (they have to be the size
of adult chicken AND have all their feathers grown in), put the new ones
plus the older hen in with the others. I have two groups of chicks a
couple of months age difference that need to go out at least by the end
of July or August, and I want my wayward hen to not have to go through
getting picked on, when she goes back outside. Then I can rearrange who
goes in what cage I hope.
