I just wanted to share these pictures with you all! I hope it doesn't bog down anyone's computer. OK, here's some shots of my Red Shouldered Yokahama hen named Macy, and the Modern Game Bantam rooster named Jaden. The resulting chicks from these two are just amazing. I had really hoped I'd get more color, given Macy and Jaden's splashy colors, but all the chicks are a consistent 'dove-grey' with black trim. I seem to have 3 hens and one rooster! Wow! The rooster is the only one to have red feathers on his shoulders and gold hackles. So far, they are SUPER sweet and friendly, but then, we do handle our chickens alot. Apparently we have yet another, younger chick that hatched out a few weeks ago....I kept sticking Macy's eggs under whatever hen was setting at the time, so they are all different ages! The rooster, "Pi", and the pullet are about 2 months old, and the other 2 chicks are about a month. It will be interesting to see how they look after their first molt. I'm calling them "Macy J's", for Macy and Jaden.Hee! Chickens are so much fun.Many Blessings~Deb Buckler
