Hi, Just on this subject,guess I am very old fashioned, but if that's the way nature intended it, for the girls to get a break over winter and so they don't get depleted, I wouldn't dream of over riding nature and saying hey wake up and lay, just like I wouldn't want anyone to do it to me!

As the days get shorter through the fall and winter, the hens will lay less and less. If you can add a light set to come on early in the morning to add "daylight" hours, you can usually keep them laying throughout the winter (assuming they are also well-fed and comfortable). You do want it to come on in the morning, though, rather than extending the "daylight" into the evening--easier to wake them up than to have the light suddenly turn off in the evening while they are still off the perches.

Did you check out automatic photo albums in Yahoo Groups?
When you send mail to your Yahoo Group with photos attached, a photo album with attached photos is automatically created. When your group members reply to the email with photo attachments, those photos are added to the 'photomatic' albums automatically!
