Re: [CHICKENS-101] Pellet or crumble?

The only downside to crumble is waste. The pellets seem to be more economical because they waste less. Other than that, six of one and half dozen of another. ;-)

I have had my chickens for a month now and have been feeding them an organic pellet layer feed. The feed I would prefer to feed them (no soy) only comes in a crumble form. My chickens free-range half time (and full time on the weekends on pasture). Can anyone advise about the differences and advantages/disadvantages of pellet vs. crumble? Or does it matter?

Thanks!
