I hope this opens on the page I want it too. Vitamin E and Selenium Deficiency
Many people will be raising chicks and carefully measured poultry vitamins, or a tsp of red cell two-three days a week, in a pound or two of feed (only put down what your birds will eat in a setting) may help ward off problems. Much as I want to trust poultry feed, I have learned the hard the hard way I can't. A bit of knowledge goes a long way.
PS I have had downers get back up with ground up children's vitamins and b complex, mixed in water with a bit of sugar to get them to drink it.
