[CHICKENS-101] one gallon waters and quail no drown bases

 

Since chick season is here and I have seen people posting in a group asking about how to keep bedding out of water dishes I'd like to share my favorite chick dishes. Twin City has my favorite water bases for one gallon water dishes.

You need the gallon water jug, (old fashioned ones before they started changing the one gallon waters)

I use wood and rubber horse dishes to adjust the height of the water dish to my chicks age and size.

My favorite feeders for chicks and small pens are:

5003p game chick feeders that have lids to keep the chicks out of the feed.  I put them up on two 2x4 or 4x4 scraps to keep the bedding out of them.
