Are you familiar with electronet? They make a fence designed specifically for poultry. We've used it for several years and it works great, keeps chickens in and predators out. You can get it from Premier.

ELECTRIC FENCING: Questions....do some of you use them at night to protect your flock??? With this new coop and run project this Spring I am really considering an electric fence around the whole thing to be used only at night. Fencing about 3-4 inches off the ground then another strand about 6 inches above that.
