Hi Mike,

Dig the bottom of your Coop/Run wire into the dirt to secure it, no openings (I dug down 6" and filled it with concrete to stop digging animals) and run your electric wire around the top. I believe you will find it more effective.

electric fence around the whole thing to be used only at
night. Fencing about 3-4 inches off the ground then another
