Without having perches inside you are trying to force her to lower herself in the pecking order. She perches high because she is the top chicken. She can not do so inside, so instinctively she goes back outside where she holds her place and feels safe. If you are worried about the cold put her into the house and shut the door, if you do not have a door on the coop, you need to install on especially in those temps.
