HI!!
Let me introduce myself. I live in Southern Illinois 50 miles NORTH of the most Southern city of Cairo, Illinois ..Cairo, Illinois is where the Mississippi & Ohio Rivers converge. I started keeping all kinds of birds when I was 8 years old and that was 50 years ago!! Back in the mid 70's to mid 1980's I had as a part-time(actually full time) job breeding and selling regular parakeets, show English Budgies(Hyper Bred parakeets) and Show German Roller canaries and a sundry other types of birds.I also raise quail, doves and pigeons. I do love my Chickens though!! I have a mixed flock, over 20 birds as of now..more coming this spring,I have Seramas also. I am not an expert but have a lot of experience with birds.
Sometime in February or early March Robert McMinn(a well known musician in NYC) aka "Bucky Backaw" has asked me to be a guest and interviewed on his Chicken Keeping Radio Program on the "Radio For All" network..kind of a Public Broadcasting System in NYC. He is also an advocate for Urban Chicken Keeping and Urban Gardening. He does workshops all over.(Bucky" has "indoor Seramas") We are going to do a "Remote" interview.
Here is what he wrote about me,:
"I think Michael Bernardoni qualifies as Bucky Buckaw's "first
visitor" of 2014. So, according to traditional chickening beliefs, the
year in chickening and broadcasting will resemble him. I'd say that
means we'll have a year that is adventurous, energetic, resourceful
and a tad zany."
I'll let you know when you can listen to it as an archived program.

Here are some programs(Many) just look at the right side of the page and anything in red that says "BUCKY" you'll want to listen to..they are about 10-20 minute broadcast/shows. LEFT Click on the "RED BUCKY" and it will take you to a separate page. In the bottom RIGHT HAND CORNER of this new page you will see a RED CIRCLE with an ARROW in it. If you left click on it..a player will open up for you to listen. If you RIGHT CLICK on it you can save as an MP3 and into a file folder for later listening. That's what I do..I lisen while I'm cooking or doing chores!!!
I know..lost of rambling but I wanted to introduce myself and share some info please don't take it as me trying to be a "BIG SHOT"!!! LOL I am not that type of person. You are never to young to keep learning and I always have an open ear and mind for advice and knowledge from other people!!
THANKS!!
Take Care!! Mike Bernardoni
