Hi EM, The heat lamp you put may very well have taken the edge of the cold in their coop. Did you make it to work ok in all of the ice?

Mine roost in the rafters and I can barely reach their feet. I guess I could try to get a ladder in there. They seem to be doing much better with a heat lamp 3ft. above their water. I think it made the coop a tad warmer. I have been iced in since Thursday night and just got to work. My house is still at least 3 inches of solid ice... getting the truck out was a little tricky! To my surprise they had lots of fun coming out during the day!
