Rhonda, Backyard and small scale chicken farmers, turkey, meat birds, ET... will be next. It's scary how our government is trying to hobble us. I am going to make a donation to help fight the pig situation. How in the world the government thinks it has a right to go into a farmer's farm and kill their live stock, years and years of breeding, investment, labor, and wipe it all out completely floors me!

Before anyone gets to thinking this one was off-topic--if industrial-agriculture-controlled government will roll out this sort of thing on those who raise heritage pig breeds, remember that it could equally be done about heritage poultry breeds. Yes, there *have* been pig farmers who have been forced to shoot their heritage breed pigs since they were deemed "invasive" and "feral" (because they were living on pasture instead of in massive industrial-type barns, and were the wrong colors and had too much hair...)
