Re: [CHICKENS-101] Bird bugs

I use the Adams only when needed (which is many months maybe year) and continue using eggs ....... but my knowledge is only limited human .
Again i would make sure the chickens have lice or mites by doing through check using magnification if needed before spraying or dusting  .

Frontline no longer works on the dogs , it stopped working about two years ago (that's all i know about it).

Only thing i've seen that DE is effective for is flys .

(Ivomec) (back when Ivomec was a new product on the market)I had one chicken that i found roosting on the ground and he had mites and lice .... we had the ivomec mixed with propylene glycol as directed by Vet , i gave him the dosage and also put some on the mites & lice area .... came back 2 days later no improvement ... a week later same . So i double the dose and after a week or so the lice & mites still there . So i gave him the pure Ivomec injected & orally plus put some on the infested spot .... week later everything still the same ..... i then injected it again and it did nothing for the lice or mites ( it's a wonder it did not kill him but he showed no ill effects from this). Needless to say i don't use ivomec for this anymore or as a regular wormer .
I used the adams spray and got rid of the mites and lice .

Only thing i've found ivomec good for is heartworm prevention in dogs (not collies).

Ok, so some have suggested 'Adams flea and Tick' spray, and others have suggested 'Frontline' spray.

If I use either of these, do I need to toss out eggs? And if so, for how long?

Thanks
