We've already had several nights into the 20s and teens, although the days (until now) have not been bad--so ours was already hooked up. (Nasty today, though--still teens, and with a powerful wind!) We had a quick, sharp snow flurry last night--only a dusting, but my husband said he saw three cars off the road on his way home! This morning the chickens took one quick look out the pop-hole when I opened it, and said NO thank you!! (Except for one of the older ones, who ran down to the horse barn. Two inches of ice on the horses' outdoor water trough, since the electric cord went to the chickens' water heater overnight...
