It takes a chicken lover to realize what a sad event it is when a chicken goes missing or gets killed. I'm really sorry you weren't able to save him. My greatest fear is that my little chihuahua will get taken by a hawk. I keep him on a leash so I'll be able to fight back if one swoops down.
