I wish it worked for arthritis. I tried it for a very long time. Boswellia aka frankincense works by reducing inflammation in the body and has zero side effects. I use the essential oil mixed in Vet RX for a joint/muscle pain reliever if my legs/ankles/feet/knees get too sore from sitting too long after school doing paperwork. Makes the difference between being able to walk or not. I give an ancient old silkie boswellia mixed in his food when he acts sore and or congested from extreme temp changes. (90's to low 40's)

Apple Cider Vinegar is considered a super tonic by many. A quick search brought up arthritis, allergies, heart burn, high cholesterol, weight loss, high blood pressure, dandruff, acne, gout, sore throat, and many more conditions that are helped by ACV. The big issue is the alkaline/acid balance in the body. ACV helps that balance which helps many things in the body. My vet recommended ACV for my canary but I've never used it. ACV has quite a following. I'm not quite as enamored with it but many swear by its effectiveness. I imagine that there are many chicken keepers who use ACV.
I've never heard anything but good about ACV. Or perhaps there's an attitude that ACV won't cause harm and it might do some good.
My 2 cents.
