Wow, sorry to hear that! The wood, etc. can be washed with Dawn straight or mixed with Baking Soda and a little hydrogen peroxide. The chickens, I'm not sure about, the mix works on dogs but since the point is to strip off the oil from the spray, it will remove their natural oils. We used conditioner for the dogs, but I'm not sure about using that on birds...probably wouldn't hurt.
