[CHICKENS-101] Re: Skunk!!!

After removing every thing that can be replaced,I would steam clean it.
I am lucky I have a freind who loaned me a steam cleaner, a dog had peed on my leather sofa, & it had got into the material underneath, It absolutely stank of rotten meat. & everything I tried did not get rid of it.
I happened to mention it to my freind , when her friend was with her & her freind said have you tried steam cleaning it I said no I have not got a steam cleaner & my freind piped up I've got one you can borrow.
I said are you sure it will work, The other freind said yes it kills the bacteria that makes the smell.
Well by jolly jingo, it worked!
Took two goes, & I had to put a clean towel to soak up the damp caused by the steam. But I still have that sofa three years on & no foul smell.
It is worth a try even if you have to hire one for the day from a dry cleaners place.
Good luck, ps, sorry the skunk got a chicken. Jane & co
