I'm really sorry you have lost chickens. I love my girls. I am in the process of building a Whichita Coop and this is what it looks like:
Mine is reversed and I'll send a photo as soon as I can. I like that it has the egg laying area accessible from the outside, and the door to the coop (on mine) has a door inside of a door. If you open the inner door, you reveal a screen to provide ventilation. The larger door opens for cleaning. I was fortunate that I had an electrician at the house at just the right time to add a light inside the coop. Mine is still under construction, but I'm thrilled with it so far.
