I use Craigslist a lot without problem. I always meet people in public areas or bring Hubby along. I'd be much more worried about telling more than 3700 virtual strangers that I live alone in the country... I'm always very careful about sharing my life online. Once you put that info out there, it's there for all to see. If you have any local livestock auctions nearby, you can bring your birds there to sell. I do this with my young roosters. Sometimes they bring in more money then I expect.

In Canada there was a very recent murder of a young man trying to sell his truck. Someone came to test drive the truck, and the man and his truck never returned to his young family. I'm alone much of the time in the country so I am a bit spooked by allowing strangers onto my property.
