Re: [CHICKENS-101] predator (was Re: chick question)

 

I think mine has a pretty good reason for barking at night. She usually starts in about 9:30, and the other dog helps, plus the 3 Labs the neighbors have. There's something out there.

Somebody hit a bear in the road right at the bottom of my driveway just a couple of weeks ago, and I've seen the black panther and the bobcat, and there are all kinds of others. A creek in a ravine runs right along my driveway, everything comes for water, and of course it attracts raccoons and weasels and .....and....and.

Lexie barks-----and obviously is keeping them all out of here, especially at night.

I didn't find that to be true. My neighbor had one, Barron, he was a sensible barker.
