Definitely. I'd get rid of them for yourself too. I am allergic to all bees and wasps because of being stung multiple times through out life.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Bees and wasps
I just lost one of my favorite girls the other day. Couldn't bring myself to cut her open to find out why however I noticed that her throat was swollen. Since she was perfectly fine not more than an hour before got me wondering:
we have lots of wasps and carpenter bees (look like bumbles) buzzing near the chicken house. could it be that she tried to swallow one and got stung (then smothered)?
