Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Looking for a Chicken Coop!

George, I have had them for several years. I send them to friends. LOL! I know I should sell but Jerry S and a friend in WA helped me get started for shipping costs.
My silkies are my real passion. Do you remember serama Wheaties Bird?  My hen who is teeny and developed heart problems?  Thanks to Peter Brown who owns firststatevetsupply.com, she is still alive.  He has me give her a baby aspirin a day.  Her heart slows down so much I can count 90-100 beats a minute.  She is the only one I have had problems with and is a house bird. Georgia sent her a yellow house diaper and she is a rotten spoiled baby.  My seramas all lay very well, which surprises me because of their size. I have to credit Jerry pres of the serama council for paying attention to this detail.   BUT, they fly- I am so spoiled by silkies because they cannot fly up on things.  They have the baby barn with a huge outdoor pen, and raise my silkie chicks and their chicks for me.  It was hard but I sold my beloved red laced bantam cornish.  They were too affectionate to cull for the freezer.  That's why I bought them, for show-to help youth out, keep a show flock for breeding, and put the culls in the freezer.  They were too darn affectionate!!  Last time I went to butcher one, he laid his head on my wrist  and snuggled,  flipped back to my chest with cuddles. I never did dress one out.  I bought them from Leon Valley in TX. Nice birds that laid very well.
