Jennifer, Your serama should start to crow very soon if he is not already doing so.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] New to chickens
Hi,
My name is Jennifer. I'm a parrot person but we got sucked into purchasing a gorgeous little Frizzled Serama Silkie a week ago last Saturday at a bird fair in Chicago. He's 6 weeks old today and just a complete love. We're keeping him indoors for the most part. We aren't absolutely sure that he's a boy or not. His breeder thought he might be. We are completely smitten. We had no idea that chickens were so friendly! His name is Dagbert. I was wondering if anyone on this group had Seramas and if anyone could tell me when they typically start to crow.
Thanks,
Jennifer
