I'd get in in all of their water along with poultry vitamins. I'd use 1/2 a human b complex tablet (all eleven b vitamins) smashed up with a little bit of sugar. I'd also smash the other half of the b, get tiny drops into the limping chick asap. One chick is a symptom of the feed being deficient and rather than chance another chick going down lame too, I'd hurry and get them all on it. Please keep us posted on how they do.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] limping chick
Hey there! I've been lurking for a while. Just got our very first chicks, 2 Amauracanas, 1 barr rock and 1 Buff Orpington, one week ago (they are 8-9days old), They all have been great, but this afternoon I noticed that one of the Amauracanas is limping and sort of dragging, or fluffing out her wing on the same side. Should I be worried? If I add Vit B to the water is it ok to give to all of the chicks ? Do I need to separate her out? How much Vit B do we add? They are beautiful chicks and would hate to lose a baby out of ignorance. let me know what you would do please! Many Thanks. Jen in Sunnyvale, CA
