Hi Dr. Doug. If you haven't already cut the feathers here is a warning. Only cut the flight feathers, the last 4 or five on a wing. Don't cut too close or problems could arise at the next molt. The chicken may have a hard time shaking the stub loose. I would cut 2/3 to 3/4 of the way back from the tip.
