Dr. Doug,
I have good luck with just cutting the feather of one wing. There
are ways to do it so it looks nice, but I just hold the chicken wing out and
start cutting the feathers at the base close to the limb. Be careful that
you don't nick the skin. They don't feel a thing - it's like us cutting our
fingernails.
