I've missed you too and all of the members too. I took a gamble and ordered chicks so my pullets will mature with increasing daylight hours. Thirteen were down; 8 of them looked stone cold dead. I had the incubator hatching tray in for those that needed warmed,
grogel plus, chick saver, duramycin on hand along with their brooder ready, and a co worker ready to sub in case they didn't come in on the early truck. Lost 7. One, my biggest white rock pullet, 5 self blue silkies, and 1 partridge. Pretty sure a self blue who stands and cries even though I hand it isn't going to make it. The chicks just missed the thaw we had and temps plunged the day they were shipped. The rest are doing well and strong.
