I have 29 Red Stars that just hit one year old. They started laying at 17 weeks and just don't stop. I have them in a 20 x 24 unheated coop with no artificial light and let them outside on all but the worst of days, and I am still averaging about 25 eggs a day. Plus they are very hardy, very healthy, and have an agreeable disposition. Mine came from Welp hatchery, and they very good to deal with.
