Hello,
I'm in northern VA and today was 50 degrees. Spring should be here in about a month. I will be getting chicks the last week of March. I have not gotten our coop yet.(will order one this week) I was wondering what an 8x4 would fit as the internet has many dfferent answers. I would like 12 so I'm thinking I need to get a much larger one. (so many different guidlines out there) I want them to have more room then not. I will search the archives here and see what I learn.
Thankls so much!

> Now, what kind of chickens are you getting? Are they chicks or pullets? What part of Va. are you in? I have relatives down there. Also there are some group members in that part of the world. Normally I would think 'spring' has already 'sprung' in Va. but this year has been so weird it's hard to tell. Here in New Hampshire Winter just started a month ago and look like it will never end. I am looking forward to new chicks but it's a problem timing them so they can go 'out' when the weather is right. That is at least 70deg during the day.
