[CHICKENS-101] Re: Newbie

Greetings Maria and welcome. Chickens 101 has been around for many years. You can find all kinds of information using the 'search' feature or in the 'file' section. Finally, you can ask here on line. The group is not as active as it once was but is still the best place to learn about chickens.
Now, what kind of chickens are you getting? Are they chicks or pullets? What part of Va. are you in? I have relatives down there. Also there are some group members in that part of the world. Normally I would think 'spring' has already 'sprung' in Va. but this year has been so weird it's hard to tell. Here in New Hampshire Winter just started a month ago and look like it will never end. I am looking forward to new chicks but it's a problem timing them so they can go 'out' when the weather is right. That is at least 70deg during the day.
Let us know how it goes.
